Confirmed: Christina Milian & The Dream Are Married & Expecting 1st Child
The rumours are apparently true; according to US Magazine, Christina Milian and The-Dream are OFFICIALLY married - and expecting their first child:
Christina Milian is pregnant with her first child, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.

The singer, 27, wed music producer The-Dream, 27, on Sept. 4 at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. Us first reported their engagement two months ago.

"The pregnancy was a surprise, but they were getting married regardless," a source tells Us.

Milian has already been talking about children.

"Of course, I would love to have kids," she told Us earlier this summer at the premiere of Bring It On: Fight to the Finish in NYC. "I think that's some of the reasons why I do movies like this."

Even The-Dream (real name: Terius Hagert Youngdell Nash) -- who proposed to Milian with a six-carat sparkler from Ivanka Trump's jewelry line -- has been talking about a family.

"I love kids, and [Christina] loves kids probably more than I do," he told Us in July. "She'll make that time [to have a baby]. In the next couple of years, there'll be something around."
Wow. Not sure what to think of this. Errr....congratulations?

Randomness: The-Dream already has 3 kids with R&B singer Nivea - his ex-wife.

Christina Milian - 'Welcome To Vegas' (Snippet)
While there remains no concrete release date for Christina Milian's much delayed 'Elope' LP, one thing is certain, though; her creative partnership with fiance The-Dream is yielding the hotness. The latest collaborative effort from the pair to surface is a lengthy snippet 'Welcome To Vegas', which much like previously heard cuts from the album 'Zipper' and 'Chameleon', is audio-fire - to put it simply.

Here's hoping the album, which will now drop via Interscope, receives an affirmative release date ASAP.

Milian Signs Joint Deal With The-DreamWith no definitive release date for Christina Milian's 'Elope' LP in sight and the star seemingly becoming more a paparazzi fixture as of late, one can not be blamed for wondering if the record will ever see the light of day. That said, after listening to the latest cut to surface from the record 'Chameleon', I really am anticipating the album's release even more now. After a few false starts, Christina has been serving up straight fire with the previously heard 'Zipper' as well as this.

Produced, written, featuring and arranged by C-Milli's main squeeze The-Dream, 'Chameleon' is a unique cut. Unlike most of today's popular music, the vehicle driving this awesome track is the lyrical wordplay and its clever use of similes, as opposed to the production - which is best described as sparse, and reminiscent of African tribal drums.

Call it what you want, but Christina hooking up with The-Dream has been yielding nothing but the hotness as of late, so IMO it's a good look. They need to hurry up and release the album already (as it's finished and has been for a while, according to the pair).

Milian & The-Dream Cover Final VIBEIt was confirmed yesterday that once-popular Urban magazine VIBE is the latest victim of the economic recession, and will cease publication effective immediately.

As unfortunate as this is, more unfortunate is the fact they went out with the above cover featuring Christina Milian and The-Dream. The borderline X-Rated shot comes across real desperate and looks as if they are pimping out their 'relationship'. What I find even more hilarious is that, should they split, each will request privacy and complain about media intrusion. LMAO at some of the celebs of today.

Check out a lengthy snippet of the official lead single from Christina Milian's forthcoming album 'Elope', The-Dream penned 'Zipper' above.

WOW! Christina is coming hard this go round. I feel no way in saying this is hands-down the best thing she's dropped since 'Dip It Low'. The beat is the hotness, while Christina is actually singing full voice on the hook. Great, great track.

Christina Milian & The-Dream Kissing
So much for Christina Milian and The-Dream's denials about their rumored relationship; the pair were snapped yesterday looking very 'coupley' (kissing, canoodling etc) in Hawaii.

Ever since it was announced that Milian had entered a joint label venture with Dream's Radio Killa imprint and her current label home MySpace Records/Interscope, tongues have been wagging as to what the pair's status is - which these pics seem to confirm.

While their relationship is their own business (LOL), I sure hope their union yields better results than Christina's last singer / producer romance with Dre (of Cool & Dre), which spawn her awful 'So Amazing' LP. I guess time will tell...

The-Dream and the latest signee to his Radio Killa imprint, Christina Milian, stopped by Big Boy's Neighborhood radio show this week to discuss their 'business relationship', Milian's new LP 'Elope' and much more.

These two really did little to dispel the rumors that they are an item LOL...

Tidbit: The-Dream's 'Love vs Money' album is set to debut at #2 on the Billboard 200, with sales in the region of 150, 000. Not bad at all.

Milian Signs Joint Deal With The-DreamOur friends over at Rap-Up.com are reporting that Christina Milian has entered a joint recording venture with singer-songwriter The Dream and his production counter-part Tricky Stewart:

Christina Milian and The-Dream are taking their relationship one step further…

Professionally speaking that is. The 27-year-old pop singer has signed a joint deal with The-Dream’s label, Radio Killa Records. “We just signed an acquisition deal with Christina Milian on Radio Killa Records, so I’m trying to put my heart into it and make sure I deliver her the same records I gave everybody else,” the singer-songwriter exclusively tells Rap-Up.com.

“The forces have been brought together,” adds Milian. “Now my album’s not only on MySpace, but it’s actually a Radio Killa/Interscope/MySpace combination. I’m working currently with Dream and also with Tricky [Stewart], making fire, heat right now!”

The star of the upcoming movie The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past says she feels comfortable working with the hitmakers because they understand the opposite sex. “We got some crazy records right now. It’s from the eyes of a woman and the mind of a woman. I don’t know how they understand that, but somehow they do. It’s mature but at the same time it’s so relatable to any girl.”

Rap-Up’s Winter cover star revealed that her follow-up single to “Us Against the World” will likely be written and produced by the duo, while her fourth album Dream in Color is scheduled for a spring release.

This definitely seems like a good look for Christina. Granted I feel she needs to up her game on the performing front to separate her self from the 'typical R&B Chick' label, great material is always the best starting point. I'm anxious now, more so than before, to see what 'Dream In Color' will be serving up.

The full version of Christina Milian's video for 'Us Against The World' premiered today unsurprisingly on her official Myspace page (she is signed with MySpace Records). Directed by Ray Kay, the clip is visually stunning, as is Christina in it. If there is one video that really captured the essence of the song, thinking along the lines of more recently released clips, this one certainly comes out tops. I've been liking the song and it's anthem-like feel for a while now. Definitely rooting for Christina with this one.

'Dream In Color', Christina's 4th studio album, is set for release later this year.

Peep this lengthy preview of the video for Christina Milian's brand new single 'Us Against The World'. Directed by Ray Kay, the clip is really visually engaging; both the backdrop and Christina herself look fantastic. Be on the lookout for the full video in the weeks ahead. Random, I know, but I can really see this doing well on this side of the globe if given the full single release treatment here.

Christina's Myspace Records debut, 'Dream In Color', is set for release in the coming months.

Christina Milian Talks Nick & Mariah, Getting Dropped & More Christina Milian features on the cover of the Winter 08 /09 issue of Rap-Up magazine. In her interview, the singer speaks on former boyfriend Nick Cannon's surprise wedding to Mariah Carey, getting dropped from Def Jam and what inspired her to return to the industry. Check out quotes from her piece below:

On the reason why she was dropped:
“It was a budget cut, I believe. [Def Jam] probably got rid of projects like mine to spend the money on [Rihanna].”
On who inspired her to get back into music:
“I bumped into Janet Jackson at a club. We talked for an hour and I was telling her I don’t know if I’m gonna do this, and she was like, ‘Girl, do not let them stop you. I’m a fan and you make good music.’ She’s a person I actually looked up to growing up, so her telling me that really was the day I was like, ‘I’m not gonna let these people hold me down. It’s time.’”
On Nick Cannon marrying Mariah Carey:
“I was surprised like everyone else. I was like, ‘Really?’ It just seemed like a weird match, but I was happy for him. I always feel Nick works hard to get what he wants, whether that be women—that’s how he got me.”

Interesting, no doubt. She seemed kinda salty with that Rihanna comment - and rightfully so IMO (no shade on Rihanna, personally). Pretty, talented and oozing with cross-over appeal, had she had the kind of backing Rihanna got (and continues to get), Christina could easily have been what and who Rihanna is today.

Tidbit: Janet, a Christina Milian fan? Things that make you go 'hmmm'...

Christina Milian - 'Us Against The World' Originally set to debut next week, Christina Milian's brand new single 'Us Against The World' surfaced today - and I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. Produced by Mad-Scientist, the cut is a solid power-ballad, which sees Milian exert herself vocally more-so than we've heard before. I'm a bit perplexed at the reasoning behind releasing this now, and the album having tentative 'early 2009'. Anyway...

Christina Milian UpdateWe reported back in January that Christina Milian was set to sign with MySpace's new label (in partnership with Interscope). The deal did indeed go through and the singer has confirmed to Billboard that her new album will be hitting stores at the top of 2009:
Her label debut is due next spring. The first single, "Us Against The World," is a "cinematic power ballad" and will be available via the social networking site (MySpace) on October 6.

"I've been out of the game for one and a half years, and I think I'm long overdue for a comeback, so I'm treating this album like it's my last chance to make an impression. I'm competing with myself and being very detailed," the 26-year-old Cuban-American told Billboard. "Before, I had a label telling me what direction to go in. Now, it's my choice, so I'm being very particular about it and I'm really excited."

Kanye West is the sole guest artist so far, but Milian, who wrote most of the album, hints at potential collaborative surprises down the line.

Milian's stint with Def Jam did not end well. She was dropped just a month after the release of her third studio album, 2006's "So Amazin'," allegedly because of poor sales. The set has shifted more than 163,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

But she views the MySpace deal as a chance for a fresh start. "I have a lot of support from my peers. I have lots of people that love me and want the best for me," she said. "Sometimes things don't work out the right way, but I know I work my butt off on my end. As long as you know you worked hard, you feel accomplished. Thankfully, I took the time off to check out what's going on and now I'm back, and MySpace is allowing me to do tons of different things creatively." {Source}
Here's hoping this new deal works out for Christina; wouldn't say I'm a fan, but she definitely has potential.

Christina Milian Signs With MySpace Label After a string of poorly selling albums, Christina Milian was unceremoniously dropped from Def Jam back in 2006. Over the past year, Milian has maintained that she was in serious negotiation with another label - whilst working on her new album, yet she remained tight lipped on who exactly they were. It has now been revealed that the 'Dip It Low' singer has signed up to MySpace's new label (which is in partnership with Interscope Records). Like myself, initially, I'm sure some of you are thinking 'MySpace...wtf?' However, who knows; the label is a new venture for the company and with Milian on board from the onset, it could really be a good look for her. {Source}

Here's hoping she delivers an album that is worth anyones money this time around, because that 'So Amazin' LP was straight garbage (IMO 'It's About Time' is her only solid effort). Producers on the as-yet-untitled CD include, among others, her boyfriend Dre of Cool & Dre, Nate 'Danja' Hills, Ryan 'Alias' Tedder and Evan 'Kidd' Bogart.

British soul singer Joss Stone has launched a scathing attack on Christina Milian in the upcoming GIANT magazine issue. EUR WEB reports:

While Stone had some harsh criticism for today’s crop of R&B singers, her most scathing words were saved specifically for singer-actress Christina Milian, who just so happens to be the ex-girlfriend of her ex-boyfriend, Beau Dozier.

Stone describes most singers today as “just highly paid strippers.” When told she may have just insulted a large swath of singers, she cocked her head to the side, flashed an innocent smile and said, “What? It’s not like I’m not telling the truth.”

When Christina Milian’s name came up in conversation, Stone, according to writer Aliya S. King, “doesn’t bother to hide her disdain for the woman who Dozier, now Stone’s ex-boyfriend, once dated.”

Stone told King: "I could tell you some stories about her... ," then launched into a “profanity-laced tirade against the pop star.”

King writes: “After I point to my tape recorder, reminding her that she's on record, Stone doesn't quit. Instead, she continues to go off on Milian and, even worse, Milian's mother. ‘I’m just honest,’ Stone concludes with a shrug.”

"Christina has never met Joss," Milan’s publicist responds. "She can’t imagine what this is all about."
Ain't this funny? How does she manage to to call out anybody else when she, herself, has a shady background?. Wasn't it just a few short weeks ago that Joss came under fire in the 'F*cking for Tracks' exposé? What she doesn't seem to understand is that she can call all these R&B chicks 'hoes' all she likes but at least they're 'hoes' for all to see! She, on the other hand, is a 'hoe' behind closed doors and that's worse. She needs to sit down.
